The Casper College Foundation and Alumni Association are seeking volunteers for Wednesday and Thursday, March 15 and 16, for the scholarship Judge-A-Thon at Casper College.
“I wanted something different from what I was used to, so I came to Casper,” says 5’10” sophomore guard Deante Strickland.
“Coach Russell recruited me to a beautiful place,” says sophomore forward Vincent Franklin of Harlem, New York.
Lean and lanky, 6’7” sophomore forward Josh McSwiggan had originally dreamed of becoming a soccer star but as he grew older, that changed.
The Casper College Forensics team placed first in several events recently at the inaugural Monument Tournament hosted by Western Nebraska Community College and Eastern Wyoming College.
Casper College Forensics team member Scarlett Miller won the top individual speaker award at the recently held 35th Annual Pioneer Trails Tournament.
Dr. Evert Brown, Casper College biology instructor, greenhouse director, and founder of the Casper Mountain Science School, was recently recognized by the North American Association for Environmental Education with The Higher Education Educator of the Year Award “for his efforts in promoting environmental education and utilizing the environment as a context for learning in his teaching.”

The Casper College Alumni Association will host the annual homecoming festivities at the Swede Erickson Thunderbird Gym on Saturday, Feb. 25 as the T-Birds take on the Pronghorns of Gillette College from Gillette, Wyoming. Admission is only $1 per person for both kids and adults.
