The Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Spanish is specifically engineered for a seamless transfer. Through our strong 2+2 transfer agreements and the WyoTransfer system, our graduates transition smoothly into the University of Wyoming or other premier four-year institutions. There are no pre-reqs for this program.

Students who continue with a language previously studied should register for the courses corresponding to their level of proficiency. Contact the Casper College Department of World Languages for help with placement.

Credit by Examination (CLEP) – Students who qualify may earn credit by examination in the elementary and intermediate language courses. To obtain credit by examination, students must contact the Student Success Center at 307-268-2089.

  1. Communicate effectively, through oral and written means, in culturally-appropriate Spanish in a variety of real-world settings at an intermediate level.
  2. Interpret and analyze what is heard, read or viewed on a variety of topics, in authentic texts, at an intermediate level.
  3. Demonstrate awareness of diverse cultural perspectives, practices and products in the Spanish-speaking world.
  4. Investigate, explain and reflect on the nature of language, and the concept of culture, through comparisons of the language studied and their own.
