The Wiley King Foundation just did something amazing for the Casper College rodeo team by donating $4,000 to provide two $2,000 scholarships for two Casper College rodeo team members. The Wiley King Memorial Scholarship will be awarded for the 2027-2028 school year, with $1,000 awarded for each of the fall and spring semesters.
To qualify, students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, complete at least 12 credit hours, major in agriculture, business, or a medical field, be a member of the Casper College rodeo team, and be a Wyoming resident. In addition, applicants must write up to 500 words describing their values and future goals.
Savanah King, the wife of the late Wiley King, created the Wiley King Memorial Scholarship “ … to honor the life and legacy of Wiley King, a Wyoming-born and raised cowboy whose passion for rodeo and the outdoors left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him,” she said.
“Wiley attended Casper College on a rodeo scholarship in 2012 and continued pursuing the sport and lifestyle he loved most. The wishes of the King Family are to support future students who share the same passion for rodeo, agriculture, and the Western way of life that Wiley portrayed,” Savanah added.
