CC’s Lady T-Birds: Impressive athletic and academic honors for 2025-26 season

The Casper College Lady T-Birds basketball team earned impressive athletic and academic honors for the 2025-26 season.

Individually, sophomore Luna Ueda of Tokyo had a stellar two-year run as a Lady T-Bird. In the record books, Ueda ranks 23rd in all-time points scored at Casper College with 710 points, 10th in total assists in CC history with 183, and tied for 16th in total free-throw percentage with 73.5%. She was named to the Region 9 North Team for the 2025-2026 season.

Ueda has signed with Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, where she will play for the NCAA Division I Colonels, who finished 25-9 overall under head coach Greg Todd. The Colonels compete in the Atlantic Sun Conference.

Sophomore Hassana Amadu, Vic, Barcelona, Spain, ranked fourth in total rebounds in a season in Casper College history with 294 and ninth in total career rebounds with 452. She was named to the All-Region 9 North Team and the All-Region 9 North All-Defensive Team for the 2025-26 season. Amadu has signed to play for the NCAA Division I Explorers of La Salle University in Philadelphia. Under head coach Mountain MacGillivray, the Explorers went 19-14 during the 2025-26 season. The Explorers play in the Atlantic 10 Conference.

Csenge Szomszed, a sophomore from Hort, Hungary, has signed to play for Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts. The Warriors are under new head coach Missy Traversi. The team finished 19-13 in the 2025-26 season under then-head coach Kelly Morrone.

Academically, the Lady Thunderbirds posted a 3.71 fall team GPA, a 3.74 spring team GPA, and an overall GPA of 3.73.
