A Casper College student has received two prestigious PTK honors. Ahnya Ivie-Moody was named a 2026 New Century Transfer Scholar and a member of the All-USA Academic Team.

As a New Century Transfer Scholar, Ivie-Moody received a $2,750 scholarship. According to the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, New Century Transfer Scholars are selected for their academic accomplishments, leadership, activities, and the ways they extend their intellectual talents beyond the classroom. More than 2,300 students from nearly 1,400 college campuses nationwide were nominated, but only one New Century Transfer Scholar was selected from each state. The program is sponsored by The Coca-Cola Foundation, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, and PTK.

“We congratulate Ahnya for receiving this prestigious scholarship, and we are honored to partner with the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and The Coca-Cola Foundation to recognize these outstanding achievements,” said Phi Theta Kappa’s President and CEO, Lynn Tincher-Ladner, Ph.D. “Scholarship programs like this are integral for creating opportunities for two-year college students to succeed and for putting college completion within reach.”

“Ahnya Ivie-Moody has been a valuable member of the officer team for the Zeta Alpha Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society during the 2025-2026 academic year. Under her leadership as vice president of fellowship, the chapter earned a 5-star designation from Phi Theta Kappa headquarters, the highest possible. Her time as an officer, her tenure as state president for FFA, and these prestigious scholarships demonstrate Ahnya’s dedication to excellence in representing the four pillars of Phi Theta Kappa: Scholarship, Leadership, Fellowship, and Service,” said Jared Bowden, club sponsor and physics instructor.

Ivie-Moody was also named to the prestigious All-USA Academic Team. Ivie-Moody was recognized for her academic achievements, leadership, and community and campus engagement. Selected from more than 2,300 nominees, she received a $3,000 scholarship.

“The All-USA program is a prestigious recognition of a student’s exceptional abilities both in and outside of the classroom,” said Amanda Karpinski-Gorman, director of the Phi Theta Kappa Foundation. “These students are selected for their resilience, creativity, and ingenuity in tackling global and local challenges. We are incredibly proud of the individuals named to the 2026 team and eagerly anticipate the continued impact they will make.”

Ivie-Moody recently graduated from Casper College with an associate degree in agribusiness and was recognized as a Graduate of Distinction. Students receiving associate degrees who have earned a minimum of 32 semester credits at Casper College and have attained a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or better in Casper College coursework graduate with distinction. A 2024 graduate and valedictorian from Hulett, she will pursue her bachelor’s degree in accounting online through the University of Wyoming.

Currently, Ivie-Moody serves as partnerships and events coordinator for the Wyoming State Fair, managing sponsor relationships and coordinating events that contribute to the fair’s success each year. “I am grateful for the opportunity to work in an industry I am deeply passionate about — supporting agriculture and preserving Western heritage — while continuing to grow professionally and serve the people who make the Wyoming State Fair possible,” she said.

Ivie-Moody hopes to continue working for the Wyoming State Fair after graduating from UW and to further develop her career with the WSF. “Looking ahead, I also hope to build a life in Glendo, where I can work alongside my partner, Drew, on a ranch and raise a family rooted in agriculture, faith, and community,” she added.

Phi Theta Kappa is the first honor society to recognize the academic achievements of students at associate degree-granting colleges and to help them grow as scholars and leaders.
