The Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition is on display at the Casper College Alumni Association Art Gallery through Thursday, April 25. A reception for the artists, beginning at 1 p.m., is also scheduled for April 25.

“The Dick and Marialyce Tobin Visual Arts Center celebrates the creative work of Casper College students. The reception will include a dance student’s performance, recognition of Expressions Magazine, and awards for outstanding work in the juried exhibition,” said Valerie Innella-Maiers, gallery director and art instructor.

The works featured in the Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition, which includes diverse media from graphic design to metalsmithing, were entered and juried by Allison Maluchnik, the director of the Nicolaysen Art Museum. According to Innella-Maiers, first-, second-, and third-place winners were chosen, and each received a cash prize.

According to Innella-Maiers, Maluchnik attended Casper College and enrolled in art courses, including in many of the same seminars offered today.

Both the exhibition and reception are free to the public. The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and is located in the Dick and Marialyce Tobin Visual Arts Center on the Casper College campus.
