The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Casper College, the Occupational Therapy Assistants’ Club at Casper College and the Tech2Connect Program will offer a free open house lab for all OLLI members on Friday, Feb. 9, from 1-2 p.m. in Room 110 in Liesinger Hall.

“During the open house, participants will learn about Wyoming Assistive Technology Resources and all that we offer,” said Theresa Robinett, occupational therapy assistant instructor. Robinett has partnered with Wyoming Assistive Technology Resources for many years. “ … the goal is to help seniors feel more comfortable and confident with using technology to be able to increase their ability to communicate and even decrease feelings of isolation,” noted Robinett.

The Wyoming Assistive Technology Resources lab is open every Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. in Liesinger Hall, Room 114. The lab provides one-on-one help with skills older adults need to learn how to operate an iPad, phone, tablet, etc.

Liesinger Hall, the original administration building, is located on the Casper College campus. The open house lab will occur Friday, Feb. 9, from 1-2 p.m. in Room 110 in Liesinger Hall. OLLI members can register for the open house by calling OLLI at Casper College at 307-268-3401.

Tech2Connect is a partnership with the University of Wyoming Center on Aging, the Wyoming Assistive Technology Resources, the Wyoming Department of Health, and Casper College.
