The H.E. Stuckenhoff School of Nursing will be celebrating 50 years of nursing at Casper College, and they are seeking graduates and past faculty to help in the celebration.

The Casper College Nursing Program began offering an Associate degree in nursing in the fall semester of 1969. To mark the occasion, the nursing school will hold an open house and recognition banquet on Saturday, Sept. 7.

The open house will be held in the Saunders Health Science Center and will feature tours of the facilities including the inter-professional Health Science Simulation Center. Refreshments and cake will be served.

That evening, a banquet will be held at the Shrine Club for current and past nursing faculty, alumni, and guests. The event will begin at 5 p.m. with a no-host bar and 6:30 for the dinner and recognition program. The dinner will be catered by Bullwhip Catering and tickets are $20 per person. The RSVP deadline is August 30.

“We are hoping to have as many past graduates and faculty attend one or both of these events, but we need their contact information,” said Marge Christiansen, director of nursing.

Contact information can be submitted to the Casper College Alumni Association by calling 307-268-2213, toll-free at 800-442-2963, ext. 2213 or emailing alumni@caspercollege.edu. To purchase tickets for the banquet you can RSVP online or contact Lupe Kerr at 307-268-2235, toll-free at 800-442-2963, ext. 2235, or gkerr@caspercollege.edu.
