The Casper College Concert Band and the Casper College Brass Ensemble, both under the direction of Douglas Bull, and the Casper College Flute Ensemble, under the direction of Delores Thornton, will be in concert on Saturday, March 24 at 3 p.m. in the Wheeler Concert Hall.

This year’s “March Winds” concert will begin with two pieces by the brass and flute ensembles: “The Marriage of Figaro” and “Hungarian Dance No. 5.”

The concert band will perform six pieces including “Universal Judgement” by Camille De Nardis, which “is extremely difficult as it has a rating of Grade 6, meaning that it is intended for high college and professional level groups,” said Bull.

According to Bull, three of the other selections, “Ruckus,” “Molly’s Sweet,” and “Grand Central Station” were written specifically for small bands.

The concert is free and open to the public. The Wheeler Concert Hall is located in the Music Building on the Casper College campus.
