CC volleyball prospect camp offered for juniors and seniors

The High School Prospects Camp for volleyball players who will graduate from high school in 2018 or 2019 will take place at Casper College on Wednesday, August 9.

The camp is for all players interested in “playing at the next level and having a chance to be a part of our Thunderbird volleyball family,” said Angel Sharman, head coach. Camp space is limited to ensure that Sharman and Adrian McNamee, assistant coach, can spend quality time with each player and that “prospects will have the opportunity to interact with and get to know the coaches and learn from them in a small group and one-on-one setting,” Sharman added.

The camp will begin at 9 a.m. with one-on-one and small group instruction. A lunch break and a parent information and question and answer session will be held from noon to 1 p.m. During this hour break, Casper College athletics department staff will provide an open discussion about the recruiting process, rules, and regulations. “We are encouraging parents to stay or come back for this session because we want to bust the myths about the recruiting process,” said Sharman. Afternoon sessions will begin at 1:30 and camp will end at 4.

The cost for each camper is $60 paid before August 9 and $65 on the day of camp. Volleyballs will be available 30 minutes before the start of camp, which will take place in the “Swede” Erickson Thunderbird Gymnasium on the Casper College campus.

For more information contact McNamee at 307-268-3089, toll-free at 800-442-2963, ext. 3089 or at adrian.mcnamee@caspercollege.edu. Links for both the sign-up and the prospect forms are at www.tbirds.cc/sports/summer-camps.
