Tate Celebrates Rex Annex with Open House
The Tate Geological Museum is celebrating the official opening of the Rex Annex on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, from 4 to 6 p.m.
The newly built annex will provide housing for a new prep space to work specifically on large fossils and to also serve as the new home for Casper College’s T. rex skeleton, Lee Rex, which is still undergoing preparation. The annex sits next door to the Tate on the south side of the building.
A ribbon cutting will take place at 4:30. Tours of both the annex and the Tate Geological Museum will be available, and refreshments will be served at the event, which is free and open to the public.
The Tate Geological Museum is located on the Casper College campus.
