Sophomore forward Vincent Franklin has committed to play ball for the 2017-2018 year with 2016-2017 NCAA Division II national runner-up Fairmont State University in Fairmont, West Virginia. The Fighting Falcons, under head coach Jerrod Calhoun, went 34-3 for the year.

The 6’7” forward averaged five points and four rebounds during the Thunderbirds 2016-2017 campaign that saw the team go 24-9. “Vince was a part of 49 wins in two years at Casper College and had a great career as a T-Bird. We will miss him and his energy and enthusiasm every day,” said Head Coach Dan Russell.

The move to the home of the Fighting Falcons will put Franklin closer to his hometown of Harlem, New York. “We are very happy for Vince that he is moving on to a quality basketball program such as Fairmont State to finish his playing career and education,” added Russell.
