“Habitats and Their Inhabitants” is the fun topic for the first Animal House of 2026 on Wednesday, June 10. The Werner Wildlife Museum hosts the summer program for children ages 5 to 12.
During this free event, students will learn about habitat components and then observe different types of habitats and their inhabitants. “We’ll start with an indoor activity of drawing and creating before we move to the backyard to explore various habitats,” said Dalene Hodnett, director of museums.
Families are encouraged to bring a sack lunch to enjoy in the backyard area after the program at the Werner.
Two additional Animal House events are scheduled for July 8 and Aug. 12.
