A faculty recital featuring the Ventus Trio will be held on Tuesday, April 10 at 7 p.m.

The Ventus Trio features Casper College music instructors Dr. Joshua R. Mietz, clarinet, Dr. Scott Schwab, piano, and Christine Hutchings, principal cellist of the Wyoming Symphony.

The trio will perform Henryk Mikolaj Górecki’s “Lerchenmusik” Recitatives and Ariosos for clarinet, cello, and piano, Op. 53. Górecki was a Polish composer of contemporary classical music and is best known for his monumental Symphony No. 3, “Symphony of Sorrowful Songs,” a work that has much in common with Lerchenmusik.

The recital, which is free and open to the public, will take place in the Wheeler Concert Hall located in the Music Building on the Casper College Campus.
