Singer/songwriter/storyteller Inda Eaton to perform on CC campus

Popular singer/songwriter/storyteller Inda Eaton will be on the Casper College campus on Monday, June 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the lawn in front of the Casper College Student Union/University of Wyoming at Casper building. The event is free and open to the public.
“Inda Eaton will present on the subject of connection to vitality while living as a queer person or as an ‘other’ in the equality state. Inda will host a conversation with attendees following the presentation, which includes music and storytelling,” said Andrea Covert, adviser and sponsor of the Casper College Queer Alliance, a student-led club focused on supporting the LGBTQIA+ community on the Casper College campus.
Eaton has recorded eight albums, including “Shelter in Place” and “Go West,” in a 25+ year career. During that period, she performed many times in Casper. She gained a large local following for her music, which is influenced by several genres, including classic rock, country, folk, and pop.
“We are especially excited to host this event during National Pride Month and Casper Pride’s designated week of celebration for the community. We hope that the community shows up to enjoy this event and engage in the conversation,” said Leo Scott, Casper College Queer Alliance club president. “We are proud to support a queer artist who’s performed around the globe, who comes from Wyoming and is willing to come back and lead such an important discussion,” added Skylar Gilmore, Casper College Queer Alliance club treasurer.
The Union/University building is located on the lower level of the Casper College campus.
