Dwight Gunnare, head coach of the Casper College Lady T-Birds basketball team, has signed Miles City, Montana, standout Ashlie Larson.

Larson brings to the T-Birds a number of achievements garnered during her senior year at Custer County High School including an all-state selection and first team Eastern “A” selection. On the floor, Larson led Montana Class “A” in scoring with an average of 19.86 points per game, an overall field goal percentage of 43 percent including a 39 percent, a 75 percent free throw percentage, and a single-game high of 43 points. Off court, Larson has been an honor-roll student throughout her entire high school career.

“Ashlie is a fantastic addition to our basketball program and to Casper College.  She has excelled on and off the court at Custer County High School, being a starter, letter winner, and honor student all four years,” said Gunnare, adding, “Ashlie is a good scorer and I believe her overall skill sets will fit very well in our system. She has a good chance to be a strong impact player her freshman season.”

The Lady Thunderbirds will open up the 2016-2017 season on Friday, Nov. 4 when they take on the Utah State University-Eastern Golden Eagles.
