Casper College Volleyball team to raise Region IX banner Saturday, Jan. 31

The members of the Casper College Volleyball team will officially raise their “Women’s Region IX Northwest Plains District B Champion 2025, 11th Nationals” banner during halftime of the men’s basketball game on Saturday, Jan. 31. The banner raising will occur in the “Swede” Erickson Thunderbird Gymnasium on the Casper College campus.

Event Schedule and Logistics

The banner raising is part of a basketball doubleheader on the Casper College campus:

• 2 p.m. — the Lady Thunderbirds vs. the Central Wyoming College Lady Rustlers.
• 4 p.m. — the T-Bird men vs. the Central Wyoming College Rustlers.
• 5 p.m. — Banner-raising ceremony at halftime of the men’s game.

Season Highlights and Achievements

• Championships: The team won both the Region IX North Championship and the Region IX Northwest Plains District B Championship.
• National Standing: The T-Birds finished the season tied for 11th in the nation with a 28-10 record.
• National Presence: This marked the team’s second appearance in the NJCAA Division I Volleyball Championship within three years.
• Coaching Honors: Head Coach Angel Sharman was named Coach of the Year for the All-Region IX North Sub-Region.

Tickets for the doubleheader are as follows:

• Adults 18 and older: $6
• Students ages 13-17 and seniors 60 and older: $4
• Children 12 and under: Free
