Third Annual Career Exploration and Advancement event set for Feb. 25
The University of Wyoming at Casper, in collaboration with Casper College and the Casper Chamber of Commerce, is presenting its Third Annual Career Exploration and Advancement Event, “Leap into Your Future.”
Leap Into Your Future is “ … designed to not only connect job seekers with potential employers but also to help give potential job seekers tools and tips on how to get hired and progress in their careers,” said Rochelle Green, Ph.D., director of the Bachelor of Applied Science Program at the University of Wyoming at Casper.
“Instead of focusing on ‘these are the jobs available right now,’ we wanted the focus to be more exploratory, including what opportunities could be available and how to advance,” noted Green.
Businesses participating in the “Leap into Your Future” Career Exploration and Advancement Event are excited about the opportunity to explain the inner workings of their companies to potential employees. Businesses will also explain to attendees what they look for in resumes and cover letters, according to Carley Thompson, Casper College academic success adviser.
- Casper College Career Services will have a table at the event to help attendees compose resumes and cover letters.

- The event is free and open to anybody in the community who wants to connect with businesses from around the state, representing Wyoming’s workforce.
- The Career Exploration and Advancement Event “Leap into Your Future” will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Casper College Student Union and the University of Wyoming building on the Casper College campus.
- Check-in will take place on the first floor, while the event will take place on the third and fourth floors.
