Seven nonprofit organizations will pitch for a share of $40,000 in SparkTank funds Wednesday, April 22, from 5 to 7 p.m.
A total of 20 applications from nonprofits were received this year, and from that group, the student-run SparkTank has selected seven finalists: the Self Help Center, Patriot Express Honor Trips, Interfaith, Iris Clubhouse, Project Kenny, Allied Angels, and the Olivia Caldwell Foundation. Each organization will deliver a five-minute pitch about its project at the event.
All seven finalists will present their cases to a panel of student judges. At the end of the event, the judges will announce the winning nonprofits and award the grant proceeds.
The event will take place in Room 225 of the Ruth and Robert Dove Conference Center, located on the second floor of the Walter H. Nolte Gateway Center on the Casper College campus. The event is free and open to the community.
Casper College’s SparkTank connects students with local nonprofits, builds meaningful partnerships that strengthen our region, and offers students an unmatched real-world learning experience that goes beyond the classroom.
