Annual wellness conference to be offered in-person and virtually, thanks to partnership

For the first time, the Annual Casper College Wellness Conference will be available to participants both in-person and virtually, thanks to a new partnership between the Casper College Wellness Center and the Wyoming Counseling Association.

According to Erin Ford, director of counseling at Casper College, the partnership brings together two organizations committed to the wellness of mental health professionals in Wyoming.

“Casper College’s Annual Wellness Conference has been a community staple for the last 35 years. The Wyoming Counseling Association is known for supporting counselors across the state in their work and continuing education. By joining forces, CC and WCA aim to provide a unique and elevated conference experience this year,” said Ford.

“The wellness conference has been operating the same for 35 years, so now we can enjoy either an in-person conference experience or virtual attendance. Plus, we will now be able to bring quality professional development to our conference from beyond Casper,” Ford noted.

  • This year’s conference will be held on a Friday and Saturday, April 17 and 18, changing the conference’s days from Thursday and Friday.
  • The Wyoming Counseling Association is a nonprofit, professional organization with the purpose of advocating for the counseling profession and supporting counselors across the state in their work and continuing education.
  • Casper College Counseling Services believes in the importance of offering professionals, students, and interested community members opportunities to learn about a variety of topics related to both physical and mental health.
