Job Description:

The Foundation & Alumni Social Media Ambassador position will play a vital role in representing our college on various social media platforms, fostering engagement, and promoting a positive image of the institution. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing, content creation, and media communication. It is ideal for an enthusiastic and creative student who is passionate about what Casper College has to offer.

Key Responsibilities:

Brainstorm social media content ideas for various platforms.
Research and maintain awareness of current social media trends.
Learn the basics of social media management and best practices for increasing engagement.
Engage in the steps required to create content, including writing captions, capturing photos and short videos, and editing videos.
Create authentic, engaging, and appropriate content that accurately reflects the Casper College campus, events, and student life.
Coordinate a social media content calendar with the Foundation & Alumni Office staff.
Stay involved on campus by attending events throughout the year.
Collaborate with Foundation & Alumni office staff to collaboratively review post-engagement data.

Work Environment:

A typical work environment is an office setting and any event settings necessary to obtain content—both requiring normal safety precautions. Work is usually performed during the normal work day with occasional evening hours and weekends; however, nontypical work hours may be required. Short-to-moderate periods of time may be spent outdoors, traveling between campus buildings, or attending events in various weather conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree-seeking student, enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at CC or a partnership institution. Minimum Qualifications:

Should have a strong understanding of various social media platforms and their features.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative and on-trend ideas.
Responsible, reliable, and able to meet deadlines.
Enthusiastic about promoting the college and Foundation and engaging with peers and other college staff members.
Basic understanding of social media analytics and reporting.
