Aster Harrison was recently selected as the 2025 recipient of the Jon E. Brady Award in Political Study at Casper College, where she graduated earlier in May with an Associate of Arts in general studies. She is the 24th recipient of the annual award.

“Aster emerged as an exceptionally serious and committed student in all of her political science classes,” said Erich Frankland, political science instructor. “She is a first-generation college student who has overcome a lot to be successful at Casper College, where she was part of Phi Theta Kappa, the national honor society, and the Casper College Honors Program,” Frankland added.

“Aster really stood out in my Intro to Political Philosophy class this semester, where she was always full of thoughtful questions, creative analyses of the texts, and a stellar student on both the exams and papers. She has found her academic passion, and it is political science. She is transferring to the University of Wyoming to complete her Bachelor of Arts in political science,” said Frankland.

Past Jon E. Brady Award in Political Study at Casper College award recipients include Rachelle Trujillo, 2021; Cameron Moore, 2022; Avy Overstreet, 2023; and Keenan Morgan, 2024. The award is named after Jon Brady, instructor emeritus of political science at Casper College.
