CC Men’s Soccer sends 12 sophomores and one freshman to the next level of competition

The Casper College Men’s Soccer team poses for its official 2025-2026 team portrait. The Casper College Men’s Soccer team has announced that 12 sophomores and one freshman will advance to the next level of competition.

The 12 sophomores are Justin Godbout, Roy Nozawa, Sein Hatamoto, Armaan Sekhon, Jael Reyes, Shon West, Paxton Stoneking, Riku Motomura, Toa Suzuki, Touhami Bel-Hadj, Hedy Bechar, and Zach Hawley.

Godbout-Garon, No. 11 from Quebec City, is headed to the NCAA Division I University of Massachusetts Lowell to play for the River Hawks. Godbout-Garo was an All-American in 2025 and the Region 9 Player of the Year. He leaves Casper at No. 2 for all-time goals at 19 and all-time points at 51. The River Hawks play in the American East Conference and finished the 2025-2026 season 7-7-4.

Nozawa, No. 23 from Tokyo, Japan, is headed to the NCAA Division I University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee Panthers. Nozawa was an All-American in 2025 and a Region 9 First Team All-Region selection. The Panthers compete in the Horizon League Conference and finished 4-7-8.

Hatamoto, No. 7 from Okayama, Japan, is headed to NCAA Division I Eastern Illinois University Panthers. The Panthers play in the Ohio Valley Conference and finished 4-9-4.

Sekhon, No. 3 from Brampton, Ontario, Canada, is headed to NCAA Division II St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. The Huskies compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and finished 4-12-1.

Reyes, No. 8 from Casper and Natrona County High School, is headed to the NCAA Division II University of Colorado Colorado Springs Mountain Lions. He leaves Casper College as the No. 2 all-time assists leader with 15. The Mountain Lions play in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and finished 12-6-5.

West, No. 21 from Pueblo, Colorado, is headed to NCAA Division II’s South Dakota School of Mines Rockers. The Rockers compete in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and finished 7-7-3.

Stoneking, No. 30 from Casper and Natrona County High School, is headed to NCAA Division III Wartburg College Knights in Waverly, Iowa. The Knights finished 8-8-2.

Both Motomura, No. 4, and Suzuki, No. 2, from Kyoto, Japan, are headed to Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas. The Wildcats compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletes’ Heart of America Athletic Conference and finished 14-5-3.

Bel-Hadj, No. 18 from Lyon, France, is headed to the Indiana Institute of Technology Warriors, a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletes. The Warriors play in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference and finished 18-5-1.

Bechar, No. 19 from Marseille, France, is headed to the professional ranks after joining FC Stade Nyonnais in Nyon, Switzerland. The club competes in the Challenge League.

Hawley, No. 77, from Casper and Natrona County High School, is headed to Doane University in Crete, Nebraska. The Tigers compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletes’ Great Plains Athletic Conference and finished 2-10-4.

The one freshman is Haruki Miyazaki. Miyazaki, No. 20, from Miyagi, Japan, is headed to the Missouri Valley College Vikings. The Vikings compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletes’ Heart of America Athletic Conference and finished 7-8-3.

The Team GPA for spring 2026 was 3.27, reflecting head coach Ben McArthur’s philosophy: “We strive to have competitive teams in the classroom and on the soccer field. These young student-athletes moving on are a testament to their work ethic.”
