Gerontology

A certificate in gerontology can be extremely beneficial for those pursuing a career in health care. Casper College's program offers multiple experience opportunities for students to build skills working with the geriatric population. Gerontology students learn about the aging process and gain a framework to better understand the growing population of older adults.

Why study gerontology at Casper College?

Unique learning experiences help ease the transition from student to health care worker. For example, students have the opportunity to lead a class about falls/balances at an assisted living facility and volunteer at a local skilled nursing facility.

Students with gerontology certificates have gone on to work in skilled nursing facilities and rehab facilities.
