A new limited-time scholarship is being offered to first-generation and nontraditional students who register for fall 2025 semester classes by Tuesday, July 1.

“Casper College is excited to offer the T-Bird Rise Scholarship to students who are ready to take that next step in their education for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year,” said Anna Miller, scholarship coordinator at Casper College.

To qualify, students must either be first-generation, defined as students whose parent or guardian has not earned a four-year degree, or be aged 24 years or older, known as nontraditional students. In addition, to be eligible, students must not have attended any college for at least one full year. All eligible students who apply by July 1 will automatically be considered for the T-Bird Rise Scholarship, and funding is available to both full-time and part-time students.

Part-time students enrolled in six to 11 hours will receive $500, and full-time students enrolled in 12 or more hours will receive $1,000 for the fall semester. Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA to maintain the scholarship for the spring 2026 semester.

“We want you here at Casper College, and we’re excited to make this opportunity available to students ready to pursue their educational goals,” Miller said. “Our faculty, staff, and administrators are passionate about what they do and ready to support you every step of the way. This scholarship can open the door to new opportunities and help make your goals a reality,” she added.

The scholarship is available thanks to the generous support of the Casper College Foundation, which provided $50,000 to support the T-Bird Rise Scholarship.
