A free presentation by Josh Weller, public affairs specialist with the Social Security Administration, titled “Social Security Basics,” will be held on Wednesday, June 21, from 3-5 p.m.

Weller will provide an overview of the benefits Social Security offers and answer attendees’ questions at the end of the presentation, according to Kat Bohr-Buresh, coordinator for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, OLLI at Casper College.

“As people begin to approach retirement, they may see a flood of information that may or may not be fully accurate,” said Weller. The seminar is perfect for those interested in learning more about their future benefit options.

“I will cover many of the common Social Security questions, including how are my benefits calculated, benefit eligibility factors, the application process, an overview of all the benefits Social Security administers, and more,” said Weller.

“Social Security Basics” is free and open to the public and will take place in the Sharon J. Nichols Auditorium, Room 160, in the Neil and Doris McMurry Career Studies Center. For more information, call OLLI at 307-268-3401.
