CC School of Science presents 2022-2023 awards

The Fourth Annual Casper College School of Science Beginning of Summer Awards Banquet was held on Friday, May 5. The banquet recognized students and employees for the 2022-2023 school year.

The evening began with a recognition of guests, invocation, and dinner, followed by the awards program. Kent Sundell, who will retire at the end of the school year, was recognized for his 27 years of service to the School Of Science as an instructor in the geology department.

Students were next recognized and included Kadyn Braaten, Agriculture Student of the Year; Riley Graham, Biology Student of the Year; John Larson, Chemistry Student of the Year; Josh Asire, Engineering Student of the Year; Krista Carstensen, Geology Student of the Year; Wayne Burk, GIS Student of the Year; Celina Arnlund, Physics Student of the Year; Ben Watts, Computer Science Student of the Year; Joshua Kroeker, Mathematics Student of the Year; Haley Graham, Statistics Student of the Year; Rachel Stevens, Tate Geological Museum Student of the Year; and Trevor Hible, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, STEM, Center Student of the Year.

The evening concluded with employee awards, including Vera Nesterenko, Staff of the Year; Glen Hansen, Adjunct Faculty of the Year; and Teresa Stricklin, Faculty of the Year.
