Casper College’s Community Education and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, OLLI, at Casper College are seeking artwork from students who have participated in classes offered by both programs. The artwork will be accepted from Monday, April 29, through Friday, May 3.

“We’re excited to announce an upcoming art exhibition aimed at showcasing our students’ remarkable creations stemming from community education and OLLI classes,” said Kat Bohr-Buresh, interim director of Community Education and OLLI at Casper College.

According to Bohr-Buresh, the two groups will collaborate with the School of Fine Arts and Humanities at Casper College to provide a platform for students to share their talent, passion, and the wide range of artistic styles that can result through community education and OLLI.

Each person can submit two pieces that are installation-ready. For 2D works, the work should be framed with a wire on the back for hanging. For each piece entered, artists are asked to include a note with their name, the artwork’s title, and the class it represents. “While the artwork doesn’t necessarily have to be created during a class, it should be inspired by something learned in a community education or OLLI class,” Bohr-Buresh noted.

Drop-offs will be accepted at the Casper College Alumni Association Art Gallery in the Dick and Marialyce Tobin Visual Arts Center on the Casper College campus.
