An open house for the Werner Wildlife Museum’s newest exhibit, “Creative Storm: Decorative Arts and Fine Crafts from Wyoming Artisans,” will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 9.

According to India Hayford, museum assistant, the juried exhibit features a selection of contemporary artisanal work. The show features Wyoming artists and artisans who work with natural materials including, but not limited to, fiber, leather, bone, horn, wood, stone, gems, and metal.

Also, demonstrations of fiber arts will be provided by members of Casper Needle Guild throughout the afternoon and during the open house. Embroiderers, knitters, and other fiber artists are welcome to join the stitching circle and share their own work.

Refreshments will be served during the open house, which is free to all, at the Werner Wildlife Museum, located off the Casper College campus at 405 E. 15th Street. The exhibit will remain on display through Friday, June 12. The museum is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
