B.S., M.S., University of Wyoming
I have Electrical Engineering degrees from the University of Wyoming where I was a teaching assistant during graduate work. I also attended Iowa State University where I was a research assistant in the Electrical Engineering Department. I spent 5 years working in oil exploration during the 80’s where I worked in interesting places like Alaska, California, Alabama, Texas, Bahamas, Brazil, and Nigeria. I have been teaching at Casper College since 1992. Being a student was my favorite activity so teaching runs a close second. I specialize in electronics classes but also teach diesel, electrical apprentice, engineering, and math classes.
I am married (Denise) and have 2 pre teen daughters (Abigail and Bethany). I spend a lot of time working with robotics programs. I mentor the Casper College FIRST robotics (FRC) team, the Grant elementary FIRST LEGO league (FLL), an event organizer for the Wyoming FLL Championship, head referee for the Wyoming FLL Championship, and referee for the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). I also stay busy as a Christian. I teach Sunday school weekly and help clean/maintain the building for the Casper Alliance church. When I have time I read, play games, hunt, and fish.
