WWQ-PCA Don Hudson Memorial Scholarship

Don Hudson was the first executive director of the Wyoming Water Quality and Pollution Control Association (WWQ-PCA) and a proponent of operator education, as he demonstrated by working during the day and attending night classes. His strong belief in operator education and training lead the WWQ-PCA to honor Don by naming this scholarship after him upon his passing.This scholarship will be used to sponsor the first six Wyoming water or wastewater operators who register for the Confined Spaces class and apply the class towards their DEQ contact hours in water distribution, water treatment, wastewater collection, and wastewater treatment. ASSE Cross Connection Recertification

This class is for people who want to renew their American Society of Sanitary Engineers tester certification. Participants must pass an online exam and perform a hands-on exam on a RPZ, DC, PVB, and SRVB where one of the assemblies will fail and the failure must be properly diagnosed to be recertified. The cost includes the ASSE recertification fee.

ASSE Cross Connection Tester

This exam preparation class for the American Society of Sanitary Engineers backflow tester certification covers hydraulic principles, test gauges, parts and terminology, applications and installations, test procedures, troubleshooting, and test failures and causes. You must document five years of plumbing or drinking water industry experience on the application we will send to you after you register for the class. The cost includes the textbook and the ASSE exam. Participants must pass an online exam and perform a hands-on exam on a RPZ, DC, PVB, and SRVB to be certified.
