Online Hospitality and Tourism Management Degree

The hospitality and tourism management program at Casper College prepares students for leadership positions in customer-service driven organizations.

By 2025, the industry will support 350 million jobs worldwide and currently supports 32,000 jobs here in Wyoming as the state’s second largest industry. On a daily basis, the hospitality and tourism industry generates $5.7 billion nationally and $8.9 million within Wyoming.

Students will take both business and industry-specific courses. You will be asked to reach out to your local and regional industry leaders for interviews, tours, evaluations, planning, and analytical-based assignments. After completing the program, you will have not only mastered the objectives of the degree but will have a portfolio full of relevant, industry-related projects, and numerous contacts throughout the region. About the online learning environment

Yes, but your hospitality classes will be offered only online, while the rest of your general education classes can be taken on-campus.

Steps to starting an online degree program at CC

  1. Apply for admission as a first-time or transfer student (same process for on-campus and online students).
  2. Apply for financial aid, including grants, loans and scholarships.
  3. Make an appointment with an advisor and register for classes. A phone call advising appointment is what most online students do. Meeting your advisor in-person at Casper College is also an option if you live nearby and it works for your schedule.
  4. Go through the online orientation module (1-3 hours).
  5. Begin classes!
