Learn to edit and share videos using DaVinci Resolve, a top-tier free editing software, in DaVinci Resolve Video Editing I, taught by Mark Pruitt. Students will practice video and audio management, refine clips into polished videos, and render them in various formats for platforms such as YouTube and others. Students can bring their videos and images on a jump drive or use the instructor-provided clips. This class runs on three Mondays, Nov. 3-17, from 5:30-8 p.m.
Discover the art of Nuno felting in Scarf Wet Felting. Under instructor Gina Hebert, students will learn to combine loose-weave fabric with wool fiber as they transform silk and wool into a unique scarf, perfect for wearing or gifting. Practice the basics of wet felting and unleash your creativity with a variety of fibers and colors. Supplies, including scarves and wool, are provided. Students just need to bring a couple of old towels, a quart container, a ladle, a small bar of soap, and a sack lunch. This class is suitable for all levels and will be held Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Are you interested in improving your wire jewelry-making skills? Then Wire Jewelry: Advanced is the class for you. This class is suitable for advanced-level students and meets on two Tuesdays and Thursdays, Nov. 11-20, from 5:30-8 p.m. Jewelry Wire: Intermediate or a similar class is a prerequisite.
Join us for an exciting, immersive experience at Night at The Science Zone. Participants will explore the museum’s exhibits and history and take a behind-the-scenes look at how activities are curated. Students will discover the new traveling exhibit, “How People Make Things,” followed by a hands-on activity to better understand how things are made in a fun and engaging way. Snacks and nonalcoholic refreshments will be provided. Registration is required by Sunday, Nov. 9. Night at The Science Zone will be held Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 6-8 p.m.

Instructor Toyon Wiggs will guide students as they explore surface preparation, application, curing, post-application treatment, and reassembly of the finished product. Tools for most disassembly processes are available for students to use in the class. Students should bring their own unloaded firearm and GunKote. Firearms with a simpler disassembly/reassembly, such as Glock pistols, AR-15 pattern rifles, pump shotguns, Remington 870 or Mossberg 500, are preferred. The instructor must approve the firearm choice before the first class. This class is for students 18 and older, and an ID is required.
