Dogs sought to walk in the 7th Annual Dog Trek Saturday, Sept. 6

The Seventh Annual Casper College T-Bird Dog Trek will take place on Saturday, Sept. 6, beginning at 9 a.m. The T-Bird Dog Trek is the lead-in event to the Annual T-Bird Trek on Sunday, Sept. 7.
The entry fee is $10 per dog. Three raffles will also be held, featuring treats, training sessions, and gift cards. Dog owners will find complimentary water bottles at the sign-up tables, and the first 65 dogs participating will receive free bandannas. Sign up for the event begins at 8 a.m.
The T-Bird Dog Trek will take dogs and their people on a 1.5-mile walk around the campus on what is known as the “inner loop.” Along the way, dogs will find multiple water stations and four kiddie pools to splash in.
All proceeds from the raffle and sign up will go directly toward the Casper College Veterans Club and will be used for the Veterans Ball, to send student veterans to the leadership building Student Veterans of America National Conference, and to help support veterans attending Casper College as well as helping support the Veterans Resource Center, according to Kurstin Larsen, Veterans Club president.
“As a club, we are excited to host the Dog Trek once again this year and are so thankful to those in the community who come out to support us along with their companions. It’s always fun to walk around campus and see all the dogs meet and greet new friends! We can’t wait to see everyone all there,” said Larsen
There is no preregistration, and dogs and their owners can register on the day of the dog trek in front of the Casper College Student Union and the University of Wyoming at Casper building, and then begin the walk. The $10 fee per dog can be paid in cash or by scanning a QR code to make a digital payment at the event.
Sit Means Sit, Unleashed Dog Bakery, K&M Pet Products, the Casper College Foundation, and Casper College sponsor the 7th Annual Casper College Dog Trek.
