Casper College will host a one-day quilt camp on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 9:30 a.m.-3:45 p.m. The camp is open to anyone 18 and older interested in quilting.

The Casper College Quilt Camp is for those passionate about quilting and interested in meeting new people, sharing ideas, and spending time on a quilting project. The camp will feature a guest speaker and two sessions with instructors, including Robin Mundell.

According to Brittney Good, Mundell will focus will be on collage quilting. “Collage quilting is like painting with fabric. Quilters can utilize it to create something special, a one-of-a-kind piece featuring animals, landscapes, people, anything,” said Mundell.

The guest speaker, … “will add an extra layer of excitement to the event, sharing insights and knowledge that will leave campers inspired and motivated in their quilting endeavors,” noted Good, community education program coordinator.

An early bird registration fee of $50 is available through Monday, Sept. 4. After September 4, the fee will go to $60 per person. The cost includes a group lunch and snacks throughout the day. Registration runs through Thursday, Sept. 21. All participants are asked to bring their own sewing equipment and fabric for the camp.
