Community Education at Casper College and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, OLLI at Casper College, are accepting class proposals for the summer 2023 semester through Friday, January 13, 2023. Community education is also seeking instructors for the summer 2023 Knowledge Enrichment for Youth, or KEY Camp.

“The community education and lifelong learning staff are eager to see class ideas from those who would like to share their talents with the community. The staff provides free assistance to help with brainstorming ideas, creating curriculum, and structuring classes for those new to teaching,” said Kat Bohr-Buresh, OLLI coordinator. Classes range from one hour to four weeks and are noncredit, meaning no grades, quizzes, or homework.

“Instructors come from all walks of life and teach various subjects from art to cooking, local lore to world history, animal science to technology, movies to health and fitness, and much more,” said Zhanna Gallegos, community education coordinator. The 2023 summer term runs from June 1 to Aug. 15, and KEY Camp runs from June 12-22.

Community education classes are for people over 16 who want to learn something new for personal enrichment and growth. OLLI at Casper College is a vibrant learning community for members over 50. KEY Camp is for students entering the seventh or eighth grade in fall 2023.
