A free showing of beautiful Navajo rugs titled “Diné Textiles” will end Thursday, Dec. 8.

The Navajo rugs are from the Ruth E. Dove donations to the Casper College Fine Arts Collection.

As the inaugural exhibition in the Dick and Marialyce Tobin Visual Arts Center, the community and campus have an opportunity to appreciate the mastery of weaving in these selected works, according to Valerie Innella Maiers, Ph.D., art history instructor.

“The Casper College Alumni Association Art Gallery is honored to host these exquisite works. The pieces are part of the Casper College Foundation Fine Arts Collection; other art from this collection may be viewed in the collections study room adjacent to this gallery,” said Innella Maiers.

The Casper College Alumni Association Art Gallery is open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday and is located in the Dick and Marialyce Tobin Visual Arts Center on the Casper College campus.
