Veterans Appreciation Week announced at Casper College

Casper College Veterans Services will be hosting four events in honor of Veterans Appreciation Week.

The first event will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Casper College Veterans Center. The event will take place on Monday, Nov. 7, at noon in the Walter H. Nolte Gateway Center, Room 207.

The Gold Star Family Awareness Day will be Wednesday, Nov. 9. According to Nick Whipps, veteran and military student services coordinator, the event will feature Casper College student veterans who will be going around campus to spread awareness all day.

The third event, as part of Operation Thunderbird, will be a dinner for military kids. The dinner will begin at 5:30 and go until 8 p.m. This event will be held in the Nolte Gateway Center, Room 207.

The final event will be the Second Annual Veterans Ball on Friday, Nov. 11, at 6 p.m.
