The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Casper College has teamed up with the Occupational Therapy Assistants’ Club at Casper College and the Tech2Connect Program to offer an open house lab for all OLLI members. “The purpose of the open house lab is to provide instruction, answer questions, give assistance in figuring out devices like laptops, phones, and tablets or apps or programs like Zoom, social media apps, and smartphone apps,” said Kat Bohr-Buresh, OLLI coordinator.

Theresa Robinett, occupational therapy assistant instructor, sponsors the OTA Club. Robinette has partnered with Wyoming Assistive Technology Resources for many years. “ … the goal is to help seniors feel more comfortable and confident with using technology to be able to increase their ability to communicate, and even decrease feelings of isolation,” Robinett said.

The open house lab will take place Friday, March 4, from 1-2 p.m. in Room 110 in Liesinger Hall. Liesinger Hall is located on the Casper College campus. OLLI members can register by calling OLLI at Casper College at 307-268-3401.

Tech2Connect is a partnership with the University of Wyoming Center on Aging, the Wyoming Assistive Technology Resources, the Wyoming Department of Health, and Casper College.
