T-Bird guard Emily Achter of Melbourne, Australia, has signed her letter of intent to play at NCAA Division II Chadron State in Chadron, Nebraska.

During her sophomore season as a Lady T-Bird, Achter scored an average of 4.6 points per game and shot 69.6% from the free-throw line.

“Emily was a tremendous leader for us both on and off the court. Emily’s jump from last year to this year was big for us this past season,” said Birds’ head coach Dwight Gunnare.

The Chadron State Eagles are under head coach Janet Raymer, who will be entering her sixth season for the school in 2021-2022. The Eagles finished their 2020-2021 season 0-13. The Chadron State Eagles compete as members of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

“We are so proud of Emily this year and proud of her signing with Chadron State. She will do great things at Chadron State. We will sure miss Emily,” Gunnare said.
