Students and Horses Sought for Trimming Class

A complete course on horse foot trimming will be held at Casper College November 26-29 from 6-10 p.m. Professional farrier Robert Fowler will lead the class, “Horse Trimming” AGTK 1990-80, according to Todd Jones, Casper College agriculture instructor.

The hands-on class will include the physiology of the feet and legs, unsoundness, hoof care, equipment, and the actual trimming and shoe removal on live horses and mules. The class is also seeking “gentle horses that need shoes removed and feet trimmed,” said Jones.
