Rogers and Mostart Recognized at Spring Induction Ceremony
The Casper College chapter of The National Society of Leadership and Success honored Terry Rogers and Celia Mostart during its spring 2018 induction ceremony recently.
Rogers, communication instructor, received the “Excellence in Teaching” award. Mostart, who works for the school’s food supplier, Sodexo, received the “Excellence in Service to Students” award.
In addition to the awards presented, 47 Casper College students were inducted into the Casper College chapter, said Linda Toohey, associate vice president for student services. According to Toohey to achieve induction, inductees must have attended three Speaker Broadcasts featuring national leaders, three Social Networking Team meetings where they set goals and work to achieve those goals, and a Leadership Training Day.
Five of the inductees also qualified for the National Engaged Leader Award, which requires attendance at a total of six webcasts, six Social Network Team meetings and at least five hours of community service.
The National Society of Leadership and Success is the nation’s largest leadership honor society. Students are selected by their college for membership based on either academic standing or leadership potential. Candidacy is a nationally recognized achievement of honorable distinction. With 598 chapters, the Society currently has 870,847 members nationwide.
