Miller Named Trustee of the Year

Casper College Trustee Susan Miller was named the Trustee of the Year for 2017-2018 by the Wyoming Association of Community College Trustees recently.

Casper College Trustee Susan Miller has been named the Trustee of the Year for 2017-2018 by the Wyoming Association of Community College Trustees.

“Casper College would not be where it is today without the involvement of Susan Miller,” said Darren Divine, Ph.D., president of Casper College. Divine noted in his nomination letter to the association that Miller is a strong advocate within Casper College and throughout the community and “ … is always looking for ways to improve Casper College and better serve our students.”

Miller has served on the Casper College District board of trustees since 1997 in all board capacities and is currently serving as the president of the board. During her time as trustee, Miller served as the chair of both presidential search committees for current Casper College President Divine, and the previous president, Walter H. Nolte, Ph.D.

During her tenure at the college, Miller has also served as the United Way of Natrona County board president, the board chair of Meals on Wheels, the board chair of the Board of Cooperative Educational Services, a trustee on the WACCT governing board, and is active in the Association of Community College Trustees.
