Two Casper College students, Emma Clymer and Tiffany Horne, were recently nominated to the Wyoming All-State Community College Academic Team.

Clymer is a sophomore criminal justice major who graduated from Natrona County High School in 2016. Horne a 2006 graduate of Bowler High School in Bowler, Wisconsin, is majoring in nursing.

To qualify for the nomination, all students must be a member of their local Phi Theta Kappa chapter and demonstrate academic excellence and intellectual rigor combined with leadership and service that extends their education beyond the classroom to benefit society. “This is the second time that we have had students fill out this application and been selected for this recognition. I congratulate Emma and Tiffany for their commitment to follow through with this project,” said Debra Swedberg, instructor and PTK sponsor at Casper College.

PTK, community college presidents, and community college state associations sponsor the All-State Community College Academic Team in 38 participating states. Wyoming has been participating in the All-State Community College Academic Team since 2013.
