Local Surgeon to Discuss Stem Cells

The Casper College Zimmerman Lecture Series will feature a presentation by Dr. Todd Beckstead titled: "Stem Cell Therapy" on Tuesday, February 27 at 7 p.m.

The Casper College Zimmerman Lecture Series will feature a presentation by Dr. Todd Beckstead titled: “Stem Cell Therapy” on Tuesday, February 27 at 7 p.m. The presentation is free and open to the public.

Beckstead, who will be discussing what stem cells are will “… look at the difference between the various lines of stem cells that exist, stem cell therapy procedures, and what different options are out there.” Beckstead may also discuss stem cell research and what the future holds. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.

Beckstead received his medical training from the University of Utah School of Medicine and his post-doctoral training at Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency in Phoenix. He is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery and a partner in Wyoming Surgical Associates, P.C. in Casper, Wyoming.

The presentation will take place in the Wheeler Auditorium, Room 103 in the Wold Physical Science Center on the Casper College campus.
