Himalayan, Indian, and Nepalese dishes will be available at the first of two cultural dinners scheduled for the 2018 spring semester. The dinner will be held at the Himalayan Cuisine Restaurant on Monday, February 12. Two seating times will be available: 5:30 or 6:15 p.m.

The dinner will be buffet-style, all you care to eat and will feature both chicken and vegetarian main dish options. In addition to the authentic cuisine and camaraderie, longtime Casper resident Nimi McConigley, originally from Madras, India, will give a presentation on India.

“We are staging this dinner as a fundraising event for Casper College students to be able to travel internationally and are partnering with Himalayan Cuisine Restaurant to do this,” said Melissa Stahley-Cummings, member of the Casper College International Education Advisory Board. “So many of our students are ready to explore foreign horizons and enrich their studies by bringing the world back to Wyoming, but the cost is often a barrier for them,” noted Stahley-Cummings.

Tickets are $21.49 for adults and $12.49 for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased online at https://bitly.im/ah1jU. Casper College students will bus the tables, but there will be no waiters or waitresses.

The Himalayan Cuisine Restaurant is located at 232 East 2nd Street in downtown Casper. For more information contact Melissa Stahley-Cummings at 307-268-2349 or cummings@caspercollege.edu.

The final dinner for 2018 will feature French Canadian cuisine on Friday, March 23.
