Nobel Prize Winner Presentation Cancelled
The presentation by Nobel Prize winner Roy J. Glauber at Casper College on Wednesday, July 26 at 7 p.m. has been canceled.
Glauber was awarded one-half of the 2005 Nobel Prize in Physics “for his contribution to the quantum theory of optical coherence.”
In 1943, at the age of 18, Glauber was recruited by the United States government during World War II to work on the Manhattan Project, which produced the first atom bombs.
Currently, Glauber is the Mallinckrodt Professor of Physics at Harvard University and adjunct professor of optical sciences at the University of Arizona.
Glauber’s presentation will not be rescheduled.
