Joshua R. Mietz, D.M.A. and the Casper College Department of Music will present a recital of music for clarinet and piano on Monday, Nov. 9, 2015 beginning at 7 p.m. in the Wheeler Concert Hall.

“To commemorate the deconstruction of the Berlin Wall, I will be performing works celebrating friendships and challenges of German musicians,” said Mietz, woodwind instructor. A variety of German compositions will be performed during the recital including Carl Maria von Weber’s “Variations on a Theme from Silvana, Op. 33,” Robert Schumann’s “Fantasiestüke, Op. 33,” Paul Hindemith’s “Sonata for Clarinet and Piano,” Johannes Brahms’ “Intermezzo, Op. 118,” and an arrangement of Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Suite for Cello No. 2, BWV 1008.”

Joining Mietz during the recital will be Casper College adjunct piano instructor Diego Caetano, D.M.A., and Casper College staff pianist Paula Flynn.

“Tear Down This Wall!” is free and open to the public. The Wheeler Concert Hall is located in the Music Building on the Casper College campus.
