Job Description:
The Recruitment and Retention Tour Guide is a position of leadership at Casper College and serves an essential role in the recruitment of prospective Casper College students. A Recruitment and Retention Tour Guide (TG) is a role model, peer mentor and represents the best Casper College has to offer. Tour Guides are responsible for representing Casper College- the history, benefits, opportunities and services when welcoming new students/ visitors on campus. A Recruitment and Retention TG will warmly welcome all students and their families while working to establish a quality first impression. Tour Guides will represent themselves and the institution in a professional and appropriate manner while displaying pride and passion for Casper College.

Essential Job Duties:
Conduct campus tours: showing visitors campus and answering questions in a professional and personable manner
Tour Guides are responsible for hosting groups that will include prospective students and their parents, alumni, community organizations, and middle or elementary school students
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective students
Serve as an Orientation Leader: Conduct campus tours: showing new students campus and answering questions in a professional and personable manner
Assist all staff with on and off campus recruiting and other school-sponsored events, such as Thunderbird Thursdays, Discover CC, etc.

Work Environment
Leading tours of campus lasting two or more hours at a time. Work is usually performed during the normal workday however, early morning, late evening and weekend work may be required during periods of critical attendance. Short periods of time will be spent outdoors travelling between campus buildings in various weather conditions. Frequent interactions with prospective students and their friends/families.

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree-seeking student, enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at CC or a partnership institution. Minimum Qualifications and Desired Qualities:
Good academic standing, minimum 2.75CGPA
Strong Interpersonal communication skills (oral and written)
Public speaking and presentation skills
Able to adapt quickly to changing student needs in a rapidly moving environment
Inquisitive and curious nature
Open-minded and able to engage with a diverse population
Self-directed and driven to succeed
Customer Service driven
Current Casper College or high school senior that is degree seeking student, enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at Casper College or a partnership institution
Previous knowledge of campus; location of campus resources (preferred but not required)
Knowledge of confidentiality-FERPA regulations
Provide class schedule, immediately upon registration
Availability to participate in both on-campus and off campus event
Availability to participate in SOAR (Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration)
