Job Summary and Responsibilities:
This position will start on 8/22/22. With this position being a workstudy position we work around your class schedule allowing you to balance both school and work. Workstudy teacher assistants become part of our classroom communities. Your duties will include interacting with children, supervising, and guiding children. All employees also participate in joint housekeeping duties keeping classrooms clean and sanitized. Please note our center is both DFS licensed and nationally accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children as such if hired you will need to fill out a central registry screening, be fingerprinted, pass a TB assessment, get certified in First Aid/CPR (we do provide training), and complete DFS required trainings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree-seeking student, enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at CC or a partnership institution. Be certifiable in Adult, Infant, and Pediatric first aid/CPR
Be able to pass a background check.
Enjoy spending time with children.
Treat children with dignity and respect.
Be willing to fulfill all responsibilities in accordance with the Early Childhood LEarning Center’s Philosophy.
Maintain prompt hours.
